Any orders accepted by Unka is subject to the terms and conditions specified in this contract unless otherwise stipulated in writing by Unka. Please read these terms carefully. The terms and conditions specified herein do not affect your statutory rights. Unka reserves the right to refuse any order which is subject to errors in pricing or where it is no longer possible to supply a particular product for some reason.
Description of goods
It is the responsibility of the customer to check that their order is confirmed correctly. Dimensions of all products are available on the Unka website and the customer should satisfy themselves the goods will fit into their property as intended. Products pictured on the website may be photographed with other items which are not included in the product description. Photographs are for illustrative purposes only.
Dimensions of goods
All dimensions specified are approximate due to many items being handmade there may be a slight variation in the measurements. We will not accept liability for any extra costs incurred by you as a result of incorrect or incomplete measurements or information supplied by you. Please email ahead if a small change in size may deem the item unsuitable.
Some of our products are made to order so we receive these in batches, this means there may be a slight difference in the colour of each batch, although we work hard to ensure they are as consistent as possible we cannot guarantee every batch of a material will be identical. We do not accept responsibility for any fading or discolouration that may occur due to exposure to direct or indirect sunlight. We also do not accept responsibility for fading or discolouration that may occur due to exposure from chemicals which are sprayed on or near your products. We recommend that your fabric products are always cleaned by professional cleaners.
Bespoke Orders – If an order is accepted and is a bespoke item – e.g in a size/ specification/ colour that is not advertised on our website, you are unable to cancel your order once payment has been made. Payment must be made in full before we will place your order into production.
Agate/ quartz are a naturally occurring stone; no two pieces will be the same. Each item may have natural flaws/ discolouration which are present, these are unavoidable but these flaws all add to the beauty of the coaster.

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, colours may appear different on different monitors. Computer monitors are not all calibrated equally and colour reproduction on the internet is not precise. Since it is not possible to guarantee our online colors will look the same on all computers, we do not guarantee that what you see accurately portrays the colour of the actual product. We do our very best to make sure our products on screen are as close in colour to the exact product as possible, but cannot guarantee that what you see is an identical colour version.
Payment & delivery
Unka accepts payment from credit and debit cards registered in the UK only. Payment for orders is processed immediately when the order is received by Unka unless there are any unresolved issues with stock availability. In the event that Unka cannot meet the order requirements then the customer will be informed within 72 hours of the order being received. Once payment is processed then a contract exists between Unka and the customer and that contract is governed by these terms and conditions. Unka does not undertake delivery outside of the British Isles but may accept orders if the customer is willing to arrange their own transportation. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that your order is checked before items are shipped. The risk for the goods passes to the customer upon delivery. Regardless of delivery status ownership of the goods will pass when payment has been received. On the day of your delivery, you must ensure that somebody is present to accept delivery at the appropriate times. You may incur a charge if you are not present when delivery is attempted. The customer should check their delivery thoroughly on receiving the goods. If the delivery is checked and any damage is found this should be clearly noted on the proof of delivery. If the customer is unable to check the goods then they should be signed for as unchecked.
Unka is exchange only on products of the same value or above. Customers are advised to contact us for the return address. Exchanges will not be processed until the items are received in their original condition and packaging. Exchanges are only available subject to availability. Customers are liable to pay for any remaining cost if they wish to exchange for a more expensive item. We will not refund the difference if a customer wishes to exchange for a cheaper item. Exchange requests have to made within 1 week after the customer has received the item in question. All customers are liable for their own shipping fees when exchanging an item. As an independent retailer, we do not accept refunds at this time. A replacement item will be sent if there is a manufacturing issue of which an image is required. Please send any faulty item images to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Any defects or damages to goods should be reported to Unka in writing as within 48 hours after receiving the goods must include proof of purchase or order number. Replacements will be dispatched once the original item has been returned to us in the original packaging subject to stock availability.

Customers are welcome to use a pre-paid label once your item has been approved for return but please contact Unka’s support team first for a pre-paid returns label. If not requested from Unka, the product will need to be returned at your own cost. Should the customer need to return the goods after the approval by our support team you have 5 working days to return the item(s) to Unka’s warehouse in a reasonable, please note this is the customers’ responsibility. A polite reminder that it is an illegal offence to claim an item is lost when you have in fact received it
Estimated delivery times
These are subject to change. Unka does not accept responsibility for any consequential loss as a result of unsuccessful delivery.
We are not responsible for delays in delivery and for unforeseen circumstances if the courier is unable to deliver due to severe weather condition OR due to public holidays. We will liaise with the courier companies to provide you with the most up-to-date information possible.
Promotional codes, coupons & offers – Only one promotional code may be used per order. Promotions do not apply to delivery cost unless specifically mentioned. Unka reserve the right to refuse or cancel promotional codes at any time. Special offers on free delivery do not apply to orders for delivery outside the UK Mainland and the following postcodes: AB, LD, PH7+, SA30+, TR, IV, KW, EX, TQ, PL, TR, AB, LD, PH7+, SA30+, TR, IV, KW.
Thank you cards – Only one promotional code may be used per order eg. either free shipping or 10% off your next order. The discount will not apply to the shipping cost but to the product only. This code will not work on sale items. Unka reserve the right to refuse or cancel promotional codes at any time.
Unka will take all steps which are necessary and practicable to ensure that any orders received which appear to be fraudulent are fully investigated before any goods are despatched or any payment is taken. This is for the protection of our customers. Where the delivery address differs from the registered card address we may send out a confirmation letter to establish that the order is genuine.

In addition to your statutory rights, Unka goods are guaranteed against defects in materials or faulty workmanship for 5 days from the time they are delivered. In the event that any goods are found to be defective within the guarantee period, or if goods are damaged in transit, then Unka will cover any costs incurred as a result of the need to exchange goods including transportation costs subject to customer letting Unka know within 48 hours from delivery. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at EU Distance Selling Directive.
Due to the intimate nature of certain products (stated on product page) we ask that customers not to disregard the original packaging whilst inspecting the goods if there is a possibility you may need to return the item is faulty. Should the customer need to return the goods within the 5 working day cooling-off period then it is the customers’ responsibility to return the item to Unka’s warehouse in a reasonable condition but please contact Unka’s support team first for a pre-paid returns label. If not requested from Unka, the product will need to be returned at your own cost. Unka recognises, for many customers, it will not be possible to arrange transport themselves and in these cases, our couriers can arrange collection during our business hours, if requested. However, Unka can only arrange collection of items which are in their original packaging. Where Unka is required to arrange the collection, then a collection charge will be levied. This amount is to cover the cost of collecting the items. Refunds can only be processed to the original credit or debit card used at the time of purchase. Credit Card Security When your order is placed at our website you will be redirected to a secure hosting (EPDQ) server for payment. Here, your credit card numbers will be encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are not held in clear text on any web site at any time.
